TRR 352 Winter-School

Successful school in Kochel am See

18.03.2024 – 22.03.2024

From March 18-22, 2024, the CRC's first "Winter-School on Mathematical Physics" took place at Georg-von-Vollmar-Akademie in Kochel am See.

Around 50 participants, mainly from our cooperation institutions, came together to gain deeper insights into topics of mathematical physics.

Three external speakers have been invited: Virginie Ehrlacher (Ecole des Ponts ParisTech) gave a presentation on "Low-rank tensor numerical methods for high-dimenisonal problems: application to electronic structure calculation", Alexander Sobolev (University College London) spoke on "Regularity of the multi-particle Coulombic wave functions, and spectral properties of the one-particle density matrix" and Andreas Deuchert's (University of Zurich) talk was about "Mathematical Aspects of the BCS Theory of Superconductivity".

In addition to the scientific program, the participants had the opportunity to do sports together and discover the beautiful region around the Kochelsee.

More information as well as the slides of the presentations can be found on the website.
