DESCRIPTION:First CRC meeting in the Bavarian Alps \nFrom October 11 to 15\, 2023\, the kick-off meeting of our CRC took place in Farchant near Garmisch. Around 60 participants came together to spend a few days in the beautiful surroundings of the Bavarian Alps. \n \nThe project leaders had the opportunity to present their projects and report on current progress and ideas.\nOn Friday afternoon\, the focus was on “Diversity and Unconscious Bias.” An invited speaker conducted a training session on this topic\, which was followed by a fruitful discussion. \nProgram  \n\nProgram Kick-off Meeting

DESCRIPTION:The CRC’s Annual Retreat was held from October 6–10\, 2024\, at the Explorer Hotel Garmisch in Farchant. Nearly 60 members\, including both established researchers and early-career scientists\, gathered for a productive few days. \nEach morning\, project teams presented brief talks and posters\, providing valuable insights into their research. The afternoons featured engaging discussions\, and participants had the opportunity to explore the beautiful surroundings of the Alps. \nOn Wednesday morning\, we recognized outstanding contributions to our field. M. Christiansen received the award for the best postdoctoral research paper\, while D. Sulz and A. DESCRIPTION:The CRC’s Annual Retreat took place from September 28 to October 1\, 2025\, at the Georg-von-Vollmar-Akademie in Kochel am See. The retreat was fully dedicated to preparing the application for the next funding period. Every project that will be continued or newly participating was introduced by a project leader. \nOn Wednesday morning\, the Best Paper Awards were announced. \n  \nThe Best PhD Research Paper award went to Carla Rubiliani for her work: \n(joint with M.
